Medical physics residents will define and shape the future of physics in medicine. In a first of its kind qualitative investigation, we explored the experiences of residents related to mentorship, work/life integration, and discrimination. During this webinar, we will discuss some of the key themes that emerged from this study, including the demanding nature of medical physics residencies, the negative impacts of residency on trainees, strategies that can be used to cope with this stress, and the role of leadership in addressing residency-related change.
